                       basic position (no turns)

» position both feet in the direction of skiing
» bend the knees a little
» press the rear knee in the front knee
» direct hip and shoulders straight forward like skiing, do not twist hip or shoulders like snow−/wakeboarding!
» water: push hip forwards, lean the upper part of the body backwards
» snow: bend the upper part of the body a little
» left foot in front: if you can turn with two skis or bike easier to the left than to the right
» try now, I am waiting...

body movement long turns (carving)

» look in direction of skiing along the turn
» weight the front leg to start the turn, water: to lower speed
» rotate the outside shoulder/arm to the center of the circle
» stand on the edge, do like driving on rails, do not slide
» avoid bending the hip sideways to find balance, but compensate bumpiness in bending knees
» at the end of the turn weight the rear leg
» snow: try with poles first, second go without to avoid bending the hip sideways
» snow: go carefully because of the extreme changing of directions crossways the ski−slope during carving movements with any sportdevice which cannot be recognized by others!
» try now, I am waiting...

snow: body movement short turns & brake

» rotate shoulder/arm against the hip
» steady the upper part of the body
» try now, I am waiting...
